You could also try TMPEGEnc for Windows. I use that as well as Cinemetize
for Mac. Both work well, though TMPEGEnc has a lot more options and
control and its probably cheaper.

Subject: [Fmpro] Best utility to convert DVD to Quicktime?
Hi all,
I just got a short from a film maker that he burned onto a DVD-R
rather than giving it to me in a Quicktime format. It got me
thinking: What conversion tool do you all use to convert DVDs to
Quicktime?
I know there are several shareware utilities out there -- and I have
one of them -- but I wanted to know what the "pros" use...
Thanks!
Kevin
