[Fmpro] international copyrights?

Hey all

If I have a piece of music that I send to the US Library of Congress  
for US copyright, where do I send for various international  
copyrights? Are they needed? Or does my US copyright have some kind of  
international agreement?

Mostly I am thinking about Canada and Europe as I doubt even  
copyrighting material in Asia would amount to a bean or two
