Yes, but I assume you believe that casting doubt and blowing smoke on proven
facts 1000 times might cause enough people to wonder... We've been over all
of this before, and I have to wonder why you keep on throwing out your red
herrings...

So, once more, exactly what about my post is not "true"?

1. Within TV shows:
ASCAP Policy: 20% of a feature for a one minute score cue? FACT, according
to the ASCAP weighting formula.
http://www.ascap.com/reference/compendium_rules_regs_rev092507.pdf
See pages 15-18

2. Within TV shows:
ASCAP Policy: All background vocals paid as features by default? FACT,
according to ASCAP Sr VP of Legal Affairs Richard Reimer in testimony quoted
here on FMPRO.
http://www.ascap.com/reference/boardofreview_meyers.pdf

"Mr. Reimer, on behalf of ASCAP, conceded that when ASCAP receives cue
sheets containing the designation ³background vocal² it presumes that such
work contains lyrics and should receive feature credit."
(top of page 6)

3. ASCAP Policy: 1,250 signatures from voting members required for petition,
as opposed to 25 only a few years ago? FACT, according to the ASCAP Articles
of Association.
http://www.ascap.com/reference/articles.pdf

So unless you've got proof my facts are not "truthful", I will ask you to
retract your accusation and refrain from muddying the waters further with
your baseless innuendo unless you have some solid facts to back up your
accusations. (As in, with links to ASCAP or other equally authoritative
documents) This is serious business we're talking about - hundreds of
millions of dollars of income for composers every year.

Best,

Mark Northam
