A moment of silence is in order with this news in MHO.  Although LH has been the
catalyst of several shall we say "intense" discussions on this list, he was always
provocative enough to bring the core of the issue to the forefront.  I have a feeling
he will return.  The business of licensing music is changing fast, and old world 
thinking may not serve us in the coming decades.  Still, nothing has served my personal
education more than reaching out to the elders of the industry for guidance and perspective.

Technology will indeed take over each and every issue we have with the PRO's within
5 years of this writing (again my HO).  It will likely be at the PRO's dismay as dollars
will end up tracked with pin point accuracy.  Embrace the latest in fingerprint
technology and watch your catalog with care.

To end, I say only God Bless Les Hurdle.
