I rec'd an email from this 'other list' asking for ics and music etc.
I'd sent a really beautiful picture of me in silks in the tow plane,
guess it never got there. ;-)
I saw a notice from Bad Heck.. tried to reply........ denied.

Dissapointed
I am a bit remiss about how Doug Wood was treated on the film list. I
don't pretend to have any answers to the current problems, but I do
wish when he chooses to post, as no other guy probably would, that he
was thanked and his information then consumed and used for our
benefit. This is not a defense, simply an observation on how we
sometimes treat the only board member that even knows how our small
end of the music industry operates.
Here's the bottom line.
Those of us who known Doug this past couple of decades have a great
respect for him and I actually like the guy.
Yes, I've thanked him many MANY times for at least being the one
Board member who bothers to some extent.
BUT, while on his watch, the rights of composers at ASCAP have
diminished, the 'rights' of composers re downloads etc have disappeared.
Does he get flak on this list..... sure, but is it gripe or honest
observation/criticism?
I'm sure DW gets tired of it all, just as I do when I see some idiot
tell me 'I should do something'........ can't do anymore than I did,
which along with Northam. Holden, Flick & MacMurray which was to
start The AACO which brought a tsunami to the USA PRO world...... but
just like this list... no support.
All the b/s yak about 'modes' etc will not get the $$'s.
DW and the other 2 'composer' ASCAP Board members could do much
more....... and for starters....... tell all, provide accurate data.
