[Fmpro] cheap filmmakers

? Film Stock 16mm or 35mm the huge amount used for all the takes and  
with processing, and the use of a negative cutter ( a paid person)  
the total runs into the tens of thousands of dollars for 16mm and  
$100k for 35 mm.
? Rental of camera equipment. (for 35mm you need a crew also)
? To strike a print of a feature length 35mm film is $2k per print.

Reminds me of a recent post at UCLA's film school poster board.  The ad said something like "We have a great script that's getting alot of industry buzz.  We need talented film school students that have access to camera and equipement to help us out."   Of course i'm paraphrasing from my cluttered memory - but that was the jist of it.  Might be a good way to get a free camera and someone to go get coffee.
