G'day Todd
The cheapest and best place to start is to create a myspace profile. They
offer free services - which is the cheapest one can get. Work within their
guidelines. Time wise, all it takes is the time to upload your music and
your covers. Pick out the best which gives and overview of your music and
upload, but make sure that you use the option that people cannot download
your music to their PCs etc.
When you are in myspace, don't go through the individual sign-up area, but
look for the tab that says music, and sign up in that area.
Enjoy.
Kind regards

Subject: [Fmpro] need a website!
I feel nearly embarrassed, but I don't have a website! Golly !! So,
in the interest of being prepared for future marketing, I thought I'd
once again hit up my fellow composers for ideas. Any recommendations
for getting from no site to cool site without necessarily spending a
large amount of time or money? (sound like a movie producer don't
I?) I need to be able to add mp3's, naturally.
Thanks to Jim Chase for the brief discussion. Hopefully I'll have
something to add to that shortly.
