Hi Gregoire -
We operate the Film Music Network/JobWire and sponsor this list, and I'd be
happy to respond to your comment. While other services charge between $5 and
$20 per track to upload for their services, we charge $1.99 to our members
to help offset the cost of the technology we built and maintain to
streamline the process of online submissions and review. It's up to the job
posters who post with our service whether or not to use the online
technology - some choose to have music sent by CDs in the mail, where there
is no charge for members of the Film Music Network to submit.
Whether it's with our delivery technology or that of a traditional delivery
service like FedEx, the post office, etc., there will often be a cost, but
in the end we believe it's far cheaper and faster than burning a CD and
rushing off to FedEx to get music overnighted for what seem to be shorter
and shorter deadlines that exist. Please let me know if you have any
questions or if I can provide any further info.
Best,
Mark Northam
