I completely agree, and it's list policy NOT to include an excess of
previous text when replying to posts. This problem of redundancy has become
much worse in recent weeks and it needs to stop.

When you reply to a post, highlight ONLY that portion of text necessary to
provide sufficient context for your response. If you do NOT highlight with
specificity, most e-mail programs will automatically duplicate the ENTIRE
TEXT of the source e-mail and append it to your response.

If you don't select specific text before posting-- especially when
responding to an FMPRO digest-- you can inadvertently send hundreds of lines
of redundant text to over 800 people. This makes for a mess that's tedious
to read and basically obscures what you have to say.

PLEASE SPECIFY THE TEXT YOU WISH TO QUOTE BEFORE HITTING "REPLY."
