A similar thing happened at the SGAE AACO seminar.
An irate SGAE member berated the CEO for many minutes............
the CEO answered questions and did his best to calm the guy down.,
unlike ASCAP, at least the CEO's of these EU PRO's understood the
role of the composer[s]... er, the little guys.

They actually paid homage.
They also paid a price via rantings from ASCAP personnel.
Funny how BMI & SESAC were not upset at all.

One must wonder why SCL people are so hell bent on
destruction............. Bellis and I crossed swords when he was a
high ranker at the SCL.......... I recently asked him Q's re ASCAP
now he is a board member.
He wasn't very knowledgeable and eventually remembered who I was,
telling me he wished to go back to tacit !

With respect.

we are led by some not very nice people on the ASCAP board.

Has Doug Wood responded to Mr Holdens request?
DW isn't 'that' busy. he has sent other emails since his irrational
childish outburst.

One more SGAE point.......... The CEO had a Power Point presentation
showing the MILLIONS of dollars US composers are not being paid via
the 'broadcast mechanical' .. which is really a performing
right........... are you seeing such payments from your publisher
for EU >>>>>>>>>>>>>>broadcasts<<<<<<<<<<<<< if not...... have
you asked for them?
Why doesn't your US PRO indicate they are only paying you [at best]
2/3 of the due income from the EU????
Surely the ASCAP/BMI/SESAC Publisher Board members know this !!

Oooooops you might say.......... get money from the Publisher... yet
it is a performing right...... imagine, how did they pull that one off?

It is approx. 1/3 of your due income you are potentially losing.
