[Fmpro] SCL/VSL se?

I have the original EXS version and now the Vienna Instruments, and I
haven't had any latency problems that I interpret that way. I will
qualify that with the fact that in my experience, real orchestral
players have a tendency to play a bit behind the old "click" and I've
often had to ask them to think ahead of the beat to tighten things
up. I find that the VSL seems to have that programmed in. I simply
run the click, run the part, use Logic's delay function and slide the
part until it sounds right. No biggie. On some instruments like
strings, I program the advance right into the instrument channel and
that does the trick. So to make a short story long, I don't think
it's latency as much as it's the samples having a very real attack
envelope that tends to make the part when played on exact beats sound
a little late. You'll find that is not true with celeste, orchestra
bells or any of the percussion instruments. They're right on the
money in my system.

Best,
James
