Art is very important.  Rewarding artists for their efforts is  also very 
important.  However, the totality of the issue is much more  complex.  And 
"snagging" a person (I guess that means grabbing) is not the  answer, either.  You 
cannot make your audience regard and honor the  importance of art on command.
 
When you see organizations like the RIAA suing people left and  right, in 
some cases fraudulently, and taking over the courts of the United  States to do 
it--and arguing for the destruction of the basic fundamentals of  american 
jurisprudence (including the federal rules of civil procedure) on top  of 
it--that's more than snagging.
 
That's as bad as throwing out the constitution with the  bathwater.
 
Just some thoughts on a complicated issue.
