If I may add my 2 cents, I agree with Mark's second suggestion. Make a sync
and master all-in per song deal, for some amount, in writing. The fact that
she took the liberty to up the one song to four should tell you (even as a
friend) she took advantage of your generous offer of one gratis song.
Filmmakers need to get checked at the "music usage" door even if they are a
friend. Music supervisor PJ Bloom always says, "there are no friends when
there's commerce involved."
Quote her a fee of $25 all-in for the sync and master, per song. I'm sure
she can scrap up $100. This way, next time she'll know that free is not a
given and you two will have to negotiate something. This may be the best
business deal for friends as both side will get something out of it.
