I am a BIG Riddle fan - how many things kick like his cool-enough-to-rule 
ROUTE 66 theme? Answer: Very few. The opening titles ballad of EL DORADO 
(1967 - performed by George Alexander and The Mellowmen) always brings tears

to my eyes and a lump to my throat - it so poetically exemplifies what I 
hold in my heart as regards masculinity (being a man - or trying to be). But

god, I hate his score for the 1960s BATMAN movie (on CD from FSM). What 
crap, at least to my shell-like ears. Oh Nelson, what were you thinking? And

you know what, that damn CD sold out! People sure are crazy. - JohnB
