Okay.
 
I'll explain.
 
Beck refers to a decision of the U.S. Supreme Court.
 
The upshot of it is that a union member can go financial core  status and 
still be a union member; they can do nonunion work and not worry  about being 
fined.
 
This has been a topic of controversy with regard to the AFM, but  also with 
regard to SAG.
 
In essence:  when you first join a union the union has to  disclose to you 
that you can be financial core.  Before, unions did not  have to disclose this.
 
The orchestra New Era Scoring is based on this  concept.
