There is much to be done prior to the next ASCAP elections...........
BTW........ how does one nominate a potential board
member?........... please, no more excuses for the idiocy at ASCAP
[the same exists at BMI & SESAC but seemingly no one belongs to those
societies ;-)]........ Let's get some new brooms with a full head of
bristles at ASCAP.
Hey, Les, I was thinking about this today so I thought I'd ask openly.
You and a few others expended much effort to get the first independent board
member elected. What was his platform? Did he actually do, at ASCAP, what
he said he was going to do?
Have all the demons been vanquished, has justice in royalty payments
prevailed? Can members look to ascap as the panacea for all the ills of the music
industry?
If not, why should anyone look forward to another election? Who could
possibly be nominated that will change anything?
Just asking to elucidate, not castigate.
