Let's be fair.. BMI/SESAC.. just as bad.. and remember.... [for those  
who weren't involved with PRO issues around the time of Aris]  SESAC  
was going to use Aris. which became Verance  http://www.verance.com/   
to do the things MN speaks of.
Wonderful we all thought. had a few meetings with the Pres of the  
company via the AACO [ not that we did much ! ] . he was very happy  
to meet with us since he knew we had 'clout'........... yes even the  
PRO's......... they hated us, but they noted us ;-).......... help to  
promote watermarking and Verance was provided.

Then the Pres let it slip.... SESAC only wanted to obtain data for  
radio during 'drive time'.... a mere few hours per day........  
nothing for TV etc.

Not all glitters with gold.
