Let's be fair.. BMI/SESAC.. just as bad.. and remember.... [for those
who weren't involved with PRO issues around the time of Aris] SESAC
was going to use Aris. which became Verance http://www.verance.com/
to do the things MN speaks of.
Wonderful we all thought. had a few meetings with the Pres of the
company via the AACO [ not that we did much ! ] . he was very happy
to meet with us since he knew we had 'clout'........... yes even the
PRO's......... they hated us, but they noted us ;-).......... help to
promote watermarking and Verance was provided.
Then the Pres let it slip.... SESAC only wanted to obtain data for
radio during 'drive time'.... a mere few hours per day........
nothing for TV etc.
Not all glitters with gold.
