[Fmpro] Organizizing

Actually there is a small group of us who are currently working on just
this! :-) We have been working daily (when we arent writing music) on this
and in about 3 weeks 4 max we will be unveiling the whole concept. Many of
the most popular and most knowledgeable on the subject are involved in this
and I think the result is going to be something extraordinary.
As to SCL I am and many here are members of the SCL. While it is a very fine
organization it and I highly recommend it to any composer or lyricist, it is
more about petitioning construction sites near some of the more prominent
recording studios in LA and about dinner parties and promoting its members
in some unique and cool ways. At one point in time they were a little more
involved in resolving composer issues politically. However today they are
not actively pursuing it(to my knowledge) and are fairly aligned politically
with ASCAP and the Academy. People like Mark Northam who were on the board
of the SCL could tell you lots more.
Anyhow when we get closer to releasing this org we will definitely invite
everyone on this list to join, discuss, debate the group we are forming. I
would like to have had everything up and running and open for talk a month
ago, however trying to do this monumental task while keeping working in the
music biz and depending on people all over the world to participate on their
free time makes it a little slow going, but we have opted to go slower and
get it right rather than jump into unknowns.
