[Fmpro] grrr mixed articulation "hot licks"

Well the limitations to sequencing is always apparent when it comes  
down to writing fast lines that have any kind of mixed articulation.  
It really drives me nuts. For instance I have this line I am trying to  
sequence for bassoon and contra bassoon but its more of a hmm jazz  
syncopated line and there is just no way to make it sound even  
remotely realistic. My girl tells me well then you will just have to  
play it on your saxophones but she doesnt understand I want to make a  
bassoon sound like Michael Brecker mixed with the mother ship from  
close encounters...Man those players would worship me if I ever had a  
live session to play this hehe... always amazing to me how much energy  
and focus you can get in a live session when you reeally write  
something that is for the instrument and is hard but not impossible,  
those guys eat it up... meanwhile I am stuck with DP and the Vienna  
Symphonic Library of cardboard cutouts of real players
