Yea Louis, I agree that technology is luscious and the benefits are
amazing. I just think we need to all consider the ramifications, I
forget all the time wrapped up in samplers and computers. Just don't
forget when you use that technology to bypass that session that you
save some cash on, those musicians didn't get paid for a job that
might have been, and you have affected change in the structure we have
and since you have affected it, you must gestalt and see what the
consequences will/might be.
What will the shape of the business of Film Music (composers,
orchestras, orchestrators, copyists, etc) be in 20 years? 50 years? Do
you even care? (not saying you don't, just a question to all)
