Hi Claude,

Congrats.  That sounds like a fun project.  There are tons of ways you can
approach a comedy.  It really depends on the type of film.  In most cases,
keeping the music straight ends up making for a funnier scene.

My favorite comedy score from last year was the score for Stardust, by Ilan
Eshkeri.  Except for a few obvious places (e.g. the poisoned wine scene), he
played it very straight, like a traditional fantasy.  Of course, the film
was not a traditional comedy.
