I didn't go read the whole post, so my assumption is this film is shot in DV
with little or no budget, and a promising future on youtube.

I, for one, think it's great that an aspiring filmmaker with no budget wants
an original score with live musicians.  More power to them.  Would you
rather they use some songs from their buddy's band?  I say get them hooked
while they're young.  It sounds like a wonderful opportunity for an aspiring
composer who's starting out.  I would have jumped at the chance a couple of
years ago.

As Chris states, mandy.com isn't a place to find pro gigs, so going there
and complaining when they don't have a $200K music budget is
counterproductive.
