[Fmpro] Anyone using the QLSO ?????

They are cool!

Gold to platinum difference is (to my knowledge) only more mic  
positions (ie close mic'ing of all the instruments) so you can mix  
them with other libraries better or create your own reverb rooms

I have EWQLSO Gold XP Pro and I think its pretty awesome. It pales in  
comparison to VSL full pro edition in terms of amount of different  
articulations and instruments, but its definitely a good buy

One really nice feature is that it is recorded in the hall and panned  
according. So without panning anything, reverbing anything, you should  
get a very decent live full orchestra sound. It works best if you dont  
adjust volumes at all as they are meant to be fixed as they are, just  
work with velocity

the negative of that feature is that it is kind of "in a box" and you  
are left working with each instrument the way EW intended you to and  
less options for creating your own mix that sounds good. Also since  
they are recorded wet, its very hard to mix EW libraries together with  
other libraries and make it sound "real"
