There you go John... Some people got it, while some did not...
All together, I hope I did contribute to even out the weight of
topics here. Since I m no one to tell everyone what to write or
not to write, all I could do was express my utter frustration
with people pounding on the same key. My post was a direct
result of that. I felt like I just had a baddly performed lobotomy.
Being very well aware of the importance of the business side for all of us,
I must stress that business and money cannot overcome Art itself.
Since that sorry phenomena already takes place on a global scale
(cookie cutting libraries, looping software, paid-off composer degrees are
only a few examples) we should all fight against it on every level and
try to value the one thing that should matter the most, that being Art itself
on all of its forms. If it becomes a 100% commodity and a copy and paste
ability practice, I believe this whole world will go down the drain.
At least to my eyes, there will be nothing left.

Alain, I have been thinking all along (as IMHO) that your response to
Marinho's Jack Nicholson/Jack Torrence-inspired outburst was how Marinho
intended it to be absorbed - enjoyed for it's creativity while
simultaneously understood as being an outlandish expression of extreme
frustration. Marinho's now infamous posts are prime examples of what an
actual artist will tend to "eject" when under stress.
