Synesthesia (sp?).  Perceiving musical notes as colors, or taste, or  
any other sensory experience.   I know at least one person - who  
asked not to be named here -  who is blessed with the condition.  I  
read that Rimsky-Korsakov had it.  Imagine "Flight of the Bumble Bee"  
in living color...  Wow!
