A union's power comes from its ability to go on strike and cripple  a 
business.  That's why the studios kowtow to SAG, DGA and  WGA.
 
Musicians want to go on strike, and they have in the past, the  studios take 
their recording work to other venues.  Just such a thing  happened in the 
1970s.  And if AFM went on strike, Seattle and Prague would  get more business as 
well as New Era.  Don't expect people to give up their  income in this economy.
