Job, it is not a surreal situation to have both conditions manifesting 
simultaneously. Film music, as a medium of cultural expression, is expansive 
enough to readily accommodate all avenues of approach - and in it's 
healthiest state this is exactly what would be occurring. Everything would 
be happening at once (hopefully not all in the same film of course). Rampant 
creativity - room for retro and gonzo, and the people and their children 
grow to be healthy, bold of spirit, and open-minded! Art does this (why 
oppressors of the masses always fear painters, poets, musicians). - JohnB
